Theoretical Yield Calculator
Theoretical yield: -- g
What is this calculator used for?
This theoretical yield calculator is used to determine the maximum amount of product that could be formed from a given amount of reactants in a chemical reaction, assuming perfect efficiency.
How to use this calculator
- Enter the actual yield you obtained from your experiment (in grams).
- Enter the percent yield of your reaction.
- The calculator will automatically show the theoretical yield based on your inputs.
Formula
Theoretical Yield (g) = Actual Yield / (Percent Yield / 100)
Example
If you obtained 25 g of product and your percent yield is 80%, the theoretical yield is:
25 / (80 / 100) = 31.25 g
