This tool helps you dilute a concentrated bleach solution to a safer, usable concentration for disinfecting surfaces or other household uses.

Formula

C₁ × V₁ = C₂ × V₂

Where:
C₁ = original bleach concentration
V₁ = volume of bleach needed
C₂ = desired concentration
V₂ = final total volume

Example

If you have 6% bleach and want to make 1000 mL of 0.5% solution:

V₁ = (C₂ × V₂) / C₁ = (0.5 × 1000) / 6 = 83.33 mL

You will need to mix 83.33 mL of bleach with 916.67 mL of water.
