Vapour Pressure Calculator

Vapour Pressure: —

How to Use This Calculator

Enter the Antoine equation constants A, B, and C for your substance, and the temperature in Celsius. The calculator will automatically compute the vapour pressure.

What Is This Calculator Used For?

This calculator helps determine the vapour pressure of a substance at a specific temperature using the Antoine equation, which is commonly used in thermodynamics and chemical engineering.

Formula

Antoine Equation:
log10(P) = A - (B / (C + T))
where:
P = vapour pressure (mmHg)
A, B, C = Antoine constants (unitless, K, and °C respectively)
T = temperature in °C

Example

Given:
A = 8.07131
B = 1730.63
C = 233.426
T = 100°C
Using the formula:
log10(P) = 8.07131 - (1730.63 / (233.426 + 100)) ≈ 1.984
So, P ≈ 101.984 ≈ 96.3 mmHg
