Langmuir Isotherm Calculator
Adsorption (q): —
What is Langmuir Isotherm?
The Langmuir isotherm describes the adsorption of molecules onto a solid surface and is represented by the equation:
q = (qmax × K × C) / (1 + K × C)
How to Use This Calculator
- Enter the equilibrium constant (K) in L/mol.
- Input the concentration of adsorbate (C) in mol/L.
- Provide the maximum adsorption capacity (qmax) in mg/g.
- The calculator will automatically compute the adsorption (q).
Example
If K = 0.2 L/mol, C = 0.5 mol/L, and qmax = 100 mg/g, then:
q = (100 × 0.2 × 0.5) / (1 + 0.2 × 0.5) = 10 / 1.1 = 9.09 mg/g
